Bubbles and Beats Return to the Skatepark: Mimosa and Fall Wine Festivals Set

Two popular fall celebrations return to Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward this season, promising plenty of bubbly, live music, and good vibes.
The Atlanta Mimosa Festival returns to the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Hosted by Atlanta Wine Festivals, the event is expected to draw between 3,000 and 4,000 attendees, said Kari Weaver, the director of events.
Organizers — who also produce the long-running Atlanta Beer Festivals — realized mimosas were a crowd favorite at those events.
“When we noticed how popular our small mimosa section had become, we thought, ‘Well maybe we need to have a whole event dedicated to it,’” said organizer Kari Weaver.
Festival-goers can choose from a rainbow of mimosa flavors including, orange pineapple, orange mango, blood orange mango, and orange strawberry. Bellinis and a brunch punch will also be featured, Weaver added.
Attendees will receive a traditional mimosa upon entry and can explore craft and boutique vendors, food trucks, and food tents offering a range of eats.
Entertainment kicks off with live music for the first two hours, followed by DJ Q-Tip.
There will also be a silent disco, where partygoers don wireless headphones and choose between two music channels, creating a dance scene only they can hear.
College football games will be on a large screen.
Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 the day of the event (if not sold out). The festival admits guests 21 and older. No kids, babies, or pets are allowed.
Organizers emphasize there is no on-site parking; guests are encouraged to walk, access the park via the Beltline, or use Uber or Lyft. Free bottled water will be available throughout the day.
Atlanta Fall Wine Festival
A few weeks later — Saturday, Nov. 15 — wine lovers will gather again at the Skatepark for the Atlanta Fall Wine Festival.
The event will feature more than 50 wines from around the world, along with several nonalcoholic options.
Attendees are welcomed with a glass of rosé before sampling varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Zinfandel, Riesling, Moscato, rosé, and sparkling wines.
Food vendors will be on site, and the atmosphere will mirror the Mimosa Festival, with live music and DJ Q-Tip keeping the energy high.
Tickets are $50 in advance, $55 after Nov. 6, and $65 at the gate, unless sold out. The same age, pet, and parking rules apply.

Together, the Mimosa and Fall Wine festivals mark the start of Atlanta’s festive fall season — celebrating local flavor, music, and community at the heart of the Beltline.
